Sarah Case
I was born Sarah Margerison while my father was attending Bible College in preparation for the ministry. He began pastoring when I was five years old. I was saved at the age of eight, and baptized. When I was seventeen, I surrendered my life to His will. Two years later, I went to West Coast Baptist College.
While I was at WCBC, God impressed on my heart that I had not completely surrendered in the area of missions. God used His Word to show me that, as Jesus said He “must needs go through Samaria”, I must go somewhere. I must not hesitate through self-will. God wanted me to be willing to do His will as Christ was, or I would miss His leading in my life. I wrote in my Bible, “There is a place I must needs go. I must obey!” Shortly after that decision, God led me into a relationship with Ryan Case, a man who was definitely called to the mission field of Mexico. Through prayer, God confirmed that this was His will for my life, and through obedience, God took my fear and replaced it with complete trust.
We were married right after graduation, and started working at the church Ryan was saved in. While at the church, I taught in the school and in a Sunday School class. After deputation, we lived in Tijuana. I helped in a children’s class at the church there, while learning Spanish. In our first new church plant, I was able to expand my Spanish to children’s classes, soulwinning, and ladies classes. In our church in Xochimilco, I oversaw the children’s ministry, nursery, woman’s ministry, and played the organ for services.
I count it a privilege to be in God’s work, in whatever capacity He allows me to be
